How To Shut Down The Biesse Akron 1440 Edge Bander

In this video you will learn how to:

  1. Shut down the work screen
  2. Turn off the machine power
  3. Turn off the transformer
  4. Turn off the Air Compressor (in the dock area)
  5. Turn off the Drier
  6. Close the valve to stop the air flow to the machine

Detailed Steps:

  1. Shut down the work screen – Touch the “Start” button located at the bottom-left corner of the work screen and touch the Killap.exe option in the menu. This will bring up a window named “End process Vers 11.0.1.0”. On the window, touch the “Refresh” button and then touch the “End Process” button. Wait for a few seconds until all the objects on the screen disappear. Then touch “Start” button again and touch the “Shut down” menu option. This will bring up the “Shut Down Windows” dialog box. Select the “Shut Down” option from the drop down menu on the window and touch the “OK” button. This will shut down the work screen in few seconds.
  2. Turn off the machine power – To access the power dial, walk up to the back of the machine through the left hand side of the work screen and rotate the black dial (facing towards you, located just above the green band on the machine) a quarter in the anti-clockwise direction to the turn the off the machine power.
  3. Turn off the transformer – To access the transformer dial, take a couple of steps backwards from the power dial. There you will find a black dial facing towards the right. Rotate it a quarter in the anti-clockwise direction to turn off the transformer.
  4. Turn off the Air Compressor – Walk straight towards the end of the machine from the transformer dial and take a left into the dock. To the left after entering the dock is the Edge bander compressor. To turn the compressor off, flip the toggle switch down on the gray box.
  5. Turn off the drier – Push the red button on the wall behind the air compressor to turn the drier off.
  6. Close the air valve – Turn the lever (located at the bottom right of the air compressor) a quarter turn towards you to close the air flow to the machine.
