Changing the Glue Pot

  • Make sure that the Glue Pot is OFF by changing the EVA GLUE ROLLER to OFF from the drop-down menu (Not shown in the video). Pull the air valve down, and then pull the part with the black dial backward. Keep turning the dial in the anticlockwise direction until it comes off and remove the rollers that it holds.
  • Remove the edge banding that’s loaded. Remove the handle that’s towards the left side of the plate. There’s a blue button down here (towards the left bottom, behind the gray box), which you have to push, which disconnects the air to this plate. There’s a little lever towards the lower-right hand side of the plate that must be loosened. Then remove the plate and put that aside.
  • Flip the toggle switch to the left that’s towards the left side of the pre-melter and then raise the pre-melter up. Unplug the pre-melter (the cable is down below it that’s connected to a gray box with two tiny light green LED bulbs). Unplug the Glue Pot (Loosen the nut that fastens the glue pot assembly using a wrench).
  • Affix the handle into the two holes of the glue pot assembly (one in the front and the other in the back) and lift it up and keep it aside. Install the glue pot (which by-the-way is not shown in the video) (be careful, it’s hot – 300 degrees). Tighten the nut that affixes the glue pot assembly so that you can see the glue pot.
  • Plug in the glue pot back in. Plug in the pre-melting unit back in. Then walk to the work screen and turn the glue pot back on (by changing the value of the EVA GLUE ROLLER from OFF to WORK from the drop-down menu) that will heat it up to the working temperature.
  • Then walk back to the glue pot area. Mount the plate back on (make sure that the edge of the plate joining the machine is smooth) and fasten it firmly to the unit by tightening the little lever. Then affix the handle to the left side of the plate and mount the rollers back on.

Operations not shown after mounting the Glue Pot unit:

  • Pushing the air valve up
  • The reconnection of the air to the plate and turning the blue button ON
  • Lowering of the pre-melter and flipping of the toggle switch back on
