Redline Vertical Extensions
Sometimes agents need verticals to be taller than 8ft. This is the procedure for machining the parts needed to make an extension.
- Each vertical is unique to its depth. The depth used for this example will be 350mm. This depth is found on the part label.
- If this is a depth we have not done in the past we will need to make a program for the Gannomat edge boring machine. New verticals will come with a drawing with the dimensions to locate edge boring.
When writing a program, enter measurements beginning with the banded edge and work away using Relative spacing.
When drilling the verticals it is important to keep the face up. If you drill each part on opposite faces the panels will not line up.
One hole is too deep for the Gannomat so it must be completed by hand using a cordless drill with 8mm bit.
After drilling is done, insert dowels into the tall verticals only.
