How To Turn On The Biesse 1440 Edge Bander

5. Turn on the air valve so that air is flowing to the machine

Detailed Steps

1. Turn on the transformer - Turn the black dial on the gray box at the end of the edge bander (below where the edge banding is loaded) a quarter turn clockwise.
2. Turn on the machine power - On the left side of the edge bander (just above 'Akron 1400'), turn the black dial a quarter turn clockwise.
3. Turn the compressor on - Walk down to the end of the machine and take a left into the dock. To the left just after entering the dock, is the edge bander compressor. To turn the compressor on, flip the toggle switch on the gray box up.
4. Turn the drier on - On the wall behind the air compressor, push the red button to turn on the drier.
5. Lower the air valve - Turn the air valve so that it is parallel with the air piping.
